Holly Holm's debut was supposed to be the story of 2014 in UFC. The former undefeated boxing champ was set to make her debut at UFC 181 against Raquel Pennington, but had to withdraw due to a herniated disk in her neck.

Holm has been entirely out of the limelight since announcing her withdrawal from that fight, but she recently spoke to MMAFighting about that and other topics.

Holm called her injury-plagued 2014 a "huge letdown," but was optimistic when looking ahead to what 2015 had in store. One person Holm seems downright eager to get her shot against was current undefeated bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey.

"[She] has obviously blown through everybody that she's fought in the UFC. There's no doubt that she is the toughest girl out there. But everybody's beatable," Holm said. "I want to be able to have that opportunity to get in there with her, just in a good sportsman way. If you're not wanting to get in there and fight the best or get the belt or be the best, then you probably shouldn't really be doing this at all."
