Sam Ponder made a guest appearance as a co-host of ABC's The View on Tuesday morning, and she came with her adorable baby daughter Scout in tow.

The Wives and Girlfriends of the NFL

Rosie O'Donnell held Scout throughout the proceedings, and Whoopi Goldberg even humorously asked Scout a question about concussions in football. The little girl just stared silently and wide-eyed, as 5 1/2 month old babies are wont to do. It was about as cute a segment as television gets.

Scout is the child of Ponder and Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder. Sam Ponder, née Steele, is an ESPN employee best known as a college gameday sideline reporter. Wednesday was Sam and Christian's second wedding anniversary.

Scout is their first child. She's nicknamed after the protagonist of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, but her birth name is Bowden Sainte-Claire. That's Bowden as in Bobby Bowden, Christian Ponder's legendary coach while the latter was a quarterback at Florida State. Ponder has thrown for 222 yards and 2 interceptions in two back-up appearances in Minnesota this season.
