Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Anaheim Ducks (21-6-5, 47 points) and Toronto Maple Leafs (18-9-3, 39 points) face-off for the first of two meetings this season live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. The game can be live streamed here. Anaheim fans can hear all of the action on KLAA 830 while Toronto fans can do the same on TSN 1050.
Anaheim has won seven straight games and plays the third match of a five-game road trip while Toronto has won five straight contests and closes out a three-match homestand.
The Ducks sit atop the Pacific Division while the Maple Leafs currently hold the top wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Ducks are coming off of a 4-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday and are excited for some stiff competition in tonight's tilt.
"It should be a great game," Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf told NHL.com. "These are the games you want to play. They're definitely a lot of fun and exciting."
Getzlaf leads the Ducks with 33 points and is second in the NHL with 23 assists thus far this season. Ryan Kesler, meanwhile, is second on Anaheim with 24 points off of 10 tallies and 14 helpers while Sami Vatanen has found the back of the net eight times and added 15 goals for 24 points.
The Maple Leafs are coming off of a 4-3 triumph over the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings in a shootout on Sunday that saw Mike Santorelli notch a goal and an assist. Santorelli is tied for second in the league with a plus-17 plus-minus rating.
Four Maple Leafs -- including Peter Holland -- will play their old team in the Ducks tonight.
"I think there's a little added significance for sure," Holland told NHL.com. "Any time you come over from a different team you want to have a good showing."
Phil Kessel has paced the Maple Leafs this season with 31 points off of 15 goals and 16 assists. James van Riemsdyk is second on the team with 26 points off of 13 markers and 13 helpers while Tyler Bozak has lit the lamp 11 times and added 14 assists for 25 points.
In net, Toronto is slated to turn to Jonathan Bernier and he is 12-6-3 with a 2.55 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage.
Anaheim, meanwhile, is likely to turn to Frederik Andersen in the crease and he is tied for second in the NHL with 17 wins while adding a 2.38 GAA and a .915 save percentage.
