Ray Rice, star running back of the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens, has been the victim of a home burglary, according to reports. Baltimore County Police have confirmed that $2,000 and two guns were stolen from Rice's home.
A Baltimore Police Department spokesperson, Corporal Cathleen Batton said that the robbery occurred sometime between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 12:50 a.m. Saturday. Rice was not home at the time of the robbery, but a friend watching over the house reported the incident.
According to the police report, the burglar entered the home forcibly via a rear window and "ransacked" several rooms. The burglar was seen on surveillance footage and the Baltimore Police Department has said that an investigation is ongoing.
Rice is a three-time Pro Bowl running back and one of the centerpieces of Baltimore's Super Bowl winning offense. In 2012, Rice rushed 257 times for 1,143 yards and nine touchdowns. He is a threat in the passing game as well, recording 61 receptions for 478 yards and a score. He has six receiving touchdowns under his belt in his career.
Rice is also one of the most durable players in the NFL; in his five professional seasons, all of which were in a Ravens uniform, Rice has only missed three games, all of which came in his rookie campaign.
