It has been expected that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar will be departing the company after WrestleMania 31 and the WWE has denied claims that an edict was sent out to stop pushing new merchandise ideas for "The Beast."

F4WOnline.com reported Monday that the WWE's merchandise department was told that no new Lesnar apparel is going to be pushed after his new merchandise came out and that any ideas they had slated for "The Beast" should be geared toward Sheamus.

The news came down as an indication that the WWE doesn't expect Lesnar to stick around while Sheamus is likely due for a big push upon his return from injury.

The WWE issued a response to the initial report, refuting that an edict was handed down regarding the creation of Lesnar's merchandise.

"There is no truth to this report," a WWE spokesperson told Wrestlingheadlines.com.

While the WWE is claiming there is no truth to the merchandise report, it appears likely that once Lesnar wraps up his current deal on the post-WrestleMania 31 edition of Monday Night RAW he will be out the door as far as the WWE is concerned.

There have been rumors that Lesnar may return to the MMA world one last time in his career after the former UFC Heavyweight Champion retired due to a bout with diverticulitis.

Lesnar has reportedly been interested in returning to the octagon, and a three-way bidding war between WWE, UFC and Bellator may unfold.

Lesnar returned to the WWE on part-time deal last year and has only worked a specific number of dates sprinkled throughout the year.

"The Beast" ended The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX in April and went onto defeat John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam in August.

Lesnar then lost to Cena by disqualification at Night of Champions after interference from Seth Rollins in Lesnar's last televised match to date. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion then took time off from September until this past Monday's edition of RAW.

Lesnar is set to face Cena again in their "Final Battle" at the Royal Rumble on Jan. 25 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. It is expected that Lesnar will hang onto the belt leading into WrestleMania season.

From there, it is expected that Lesnar will battle Roman Reigns and drop the belt to him at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 from Levi's Stadium in California before showing up on RAW the next night to close out his slate.

While the WWE has denied the merchandise story, it appears Lesnar's days in the squared circle are winding down.
