The Tennessee Titans and New York Jets are two of the worst teams in the NFL, but apparently their games can still make headlines. During Sunday's contest, a fight erupted between the two teams after Jurrell Casey smacked Geno Smith in the head following a play.

According to media reports, the altercation started during an official timeout while an 81-yard touchdown by Eric Decker was reviewed to see if the receiver stepped out of bounds (he did). During the review, however, some of the players got into each others' faces.

At the center of the conflict were Jets quarterback Geno Smith and Titans defender Jurrell Casey. After some intense talking, Titans players began to pull each other away from the Jets young quarterback, presumably to avoid drawing a personal foul penalty.

That all went out the window when Casey smacked Smith in the side of the helmet. Numerous jets players ran to defend Smith, and it took almost no time for punches to get thrown by players from both sides.

Oddly, no players were ejected, and after the dust settled, Casey received a 15-yard penalty that was added on to the end of Decker's play, which ended up going for 48 yards.

There is no word yet from the NFL on whether any of the players involved will receive fines or suspensions.

The Jets won the game 16-11, although one could argue that by winning, they actually lost since that basically eliminates their changes of landing a draft pick high enough to draft Marcus Mariota and fill their gaping hole at quarterback.
