Jay-Z News: Skylar Diggins Gets Mercedes Graduation Gift From Roc Nation Founder

Skylar Diggins will likely always remember graduation day. According to ESPN, within minute of receiving her Notre Dame degree, Diggins walked to the parking lot to find a shiny, new Mercedes waiting for her courtesy of Jay-Z and the Roc Nation Sports Agency he recently founded.

Diggins is among the first and more high-profile to clients to sign with the agency, which also counts Yankees’ All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano and Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz as clients.

Selected third overall in the recent WNBA Draft by the Tulsa Shock, Diggins was an All-American at Notre Dame and led the Fighting Irish all the way to the Final Four.

And it’s been an equally spectacular year for Jay-Z. After selling his minority stock in the Brooklyn Nets, he announced he was launching Roc Nation with plans of attracting a stable of marketable superstar athletes along the line of those he has thus publicly aligned himself with.

Just last week, rumors also surfaced he and superstar wife Beyonce are expecting their second child.

Later Diggins tweeted out her appreciation to her new boss and agency, including one tweet where she joked “I got 99 problems, but a Benz ain’t one.”

The WNBA regular season begins in June.
