Redskins fans sure love their quarterback, enough so to help buy all the items for his wedding registry at Bed Bath & Beyond. Last year's rookie sensation Robert Griffin III recently announced his engagement to longtime college sweetheart Rebecca Liddicoat and Washington fans decided to give back to the quarterback responsible for the team's first postseason appearance since 2007.

"Thank you to the Fans who are helping buy ALL the items from our wedding registry at Bed Bath & Beyond say.ly/MLw5Rbg," Griffin tweeted on Sunday in response to his fans generosity. Depicted in the tweet is a photo of the 2012 Rookie of the Year award winner with a room full of boxes.

Not that Griffin can't afford the items himself. The Redskins have the superstar quarterback signed to a four-year, $21,119,098 contract that is fully guaranteed and he currently has the most popular jersey on NFL.com, which may bring criticism from some who believe the quarterback is just taking unnecessary handouts from fans.

However, Griffin responded to this idea in a tweet on Sunday further acknowledging his adorer's generosity. "I didn't ask the fans to buy me anything. They found it on their own and decided to get what they could. SMH at all these Debbie downers," Griffin tweeted.

It should be noted that according to the registry site that not everything had been purchased - the most expensive item, a $499.99 Calphalon Contemporary Non-Stick 12-Piece Cookware Set, still had an "o" in the "Purchased" column. However, those in RG3's thrall did apparently buy the $439.99 Palm Harbor 2-Piece Outdoor Wicker Seating Set, the $399.99 KitchenAid® 5-Quart Tilt-Head Designer Series Stand Mixer with Glass Bowl, the $299.99 11-Foot Outdoor Round Cantilever Latte Solar Umbrella with Steel Frame, the $244.99 Calphalon® Precision Series 16-piece Cutlery Knife Block Set and the $199.99 Shark® Rotator Professional Lift-Away 3-in-1 Vacuum.
