The fan that sparked a brawl with Johnny Football's entourage has finally broken his silence, and he's adopting a surprisingly conciliatory tone.
The violent incident occurred in the early AM hours of Saturday, November 22. Browns fan Chris Gonos had approached Johnny Manziel in the elevator lobby of a high-priced Cleveland apartment complex. Gonos was reportedly trying to hug the Browns quarterback; Manziel told reporters Gonos was "toying" with him. A brawl started between Gonos and Manziel's posse, with the former sustaining minor injuries to his face as a result.

On Friday Gonos took to Facebook to set the record straight about the unfortunate episode. Tellingly, Gonos claims that his legal counsel advised him to press charges against Manziel, but he declined.
"All I ever wanted was to show love and give respect," Gonos' post reads. "What occurred that night was a huge misunderstanding. Never did I intend to escalate an altercation."
