The back and forth battle between cricket powers New Zealand and Pakistan continues on Friday. After the two teams split a preliminary T20I series with one win apiece, the action moved over to a five match ODI series in Dubai. Just like in the T20I series, Pakistan took the first installment, this time by three wickets. Now fans will watch and wait to see if the Black Caps can rebound with a victory of their own to even up the series.

The New Zealand squad wasted a century from batsman Ross Taylor in the defeat -- if they want to bounce back they'll need him to perform just as ably this time around. Pakistan will be leaning on the likes of Haris Sohail and Shahid Alfridi for their own production.

As always, both teams will be looking to mix and match with lineups and strategy in order to position themselves in the best possible position for next year's looming World Cup.
