Rachel A. DeMita continues to make a name for herself as one of the most down-to-earth and perceptive voices in NBA media circles.
The host of NBA 2K TV and rumored gal pal of Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant, DeMita is quickly becoming unparalleled in her ability to keep things real when discussing the sport, often rejecting or bucking against tired media narratives.
On Wednesday news broke that the Knicks' Carmelo Anthony and Tim Hardaway Jr. had reportedly almost come to blows in the locker room following a loss to the Brooklyn Nets last week.
The Knicks are currently 4-20 and suffering through an 11-game losing streak, so no doubt frustrations are high throughout the franchise. However, what DeMita objected to was the way the media covered the news -- depicting it as awful or chaotic rather than something natural that can happen between competitors over the course of a long season.
yo, sometimes fights/discrepancies (not physical) between teammates need to happen to get on the right track...

and this girl is STILL one of my dearest friends... sometimes it takes a blowout to get on the same page. — Rachel A DeMita (@RADeMita) December 10, 2014

Rachel DeMita's NBA 2K TV Project Debuts
This isn't the first time DeMita has been unafraid to voice her opinion in defense of an NBA player. Last month she went to bat for LeBron James against his army of twitter 'haters.' And before that, a video she made defending Derrick Rose for the handling of his injuries went viral.
