Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Dallas Stars (9-11-5, 23 points) and Detroit Red Wings (14-6-5, 33 points) take the ice at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit for the first of two meetings against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. Dallas fans can hear all of the action on 1310 The Ticket while Detroit fans can do the same on 97.1 The Ticket.

Dallas has lost three straight and closes out a three-match road trip while Detroit had a four-game winning streak snapped last time out and plays the third tilt of a four-match home stand.

The Stars lost 5-3 to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday and will be looking to start this game off on the right foot.

"It's going to start with playing a good 20-minute road period," coach Lindy Ruff said per NHL.com. "And that's going to start with defense. We can't start the game like we did against Toronto."

Dallas has been paced offensively by Tyler Seguin, who leads the NHL with 18 goals and is second in the league with 31 points. Jamie Benn is second on the Stars with 23 points off of eight tallies and 15 helpers while Jason Spezza has found the back of the net five times and added 15 assists for 20 points.

The Red Wings are coming off of a 4-3 loss to the Florida Panthers on Tuesday that halted their winning streak at four games. Pavel Datsyuk had a goal and assist in the win.

Detroit is looking to shore up its defensive play in tonight's match.

"Suddenly, because we're scoring more doesn't mean we should be giving up more. That makes no sense," Red Wings coach Mike Babcock told NHL.com.

Offensively, the Red Wings have been led by Henrik Zetterberg, who has 24 points off of five goals and 19 assists while Datsyuk is second on the team with 17 points off of 10 markers and seven helpers.

In net, Dallas is slated to go with Jussi Rynnas, who will be making his first start of the season and fourth of his career.

Detroit is likely to counter with Jimmy Howard in the crease and he is 11-5-4 this season with a 2.23 GAA and a .916 save percentage.

The Stars and Red Wings go head-to-head when the lights come up tonight at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
