Tonight at 7 p.m. ET, the Montreal Canadiens (17-7-2, 36 points) and Minnesota Wild (13-9-1, 27 points) take the ice at the Xcel Energy Center for the second and final meeting against each other this season. Montreal continues a four-game road trip after kicking it off with a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Monday while Minnesota continues a four-game homestand after dropping a 3-2 decision to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday.

The Canadiens defeated The Wild 4-1 in the first meeting between these two teams on Nov. 8 at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

The Canadiens have been paced by Max Pacioretty, who has 20 points off of 12 goals and eight assists while Tomas Plekanec is second on the team with 18 points off of eight tallies and 10 helpers.

The Wild, meanwhile, have been led by Zack Parise, who has a team-best 18 points off of nine goals and nine assists while Jason Pominville has four markers and 11 helpers for 15 points on the year.

Defenseman Ryan Suter (illness) will be absent in tonight's game.

"We're hoping it's just illness, but we won't know until we get the blood work," Wild coach Mike Yeo told NHL.com. "He doesn't have swollen glands, but there are a couple of symptoms he has that would make us concerned that it could be [the mumps]."

In net, Minnesota is slated to turn to Darcy Kuemper, who is 10-7-0 with a 2.37 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage thus far this season.

Montreal is likely to counter with Carey Price, who is 14-5-1 with a 2.37 GAA and a .921 save percentage.

The Canadiens and Wild play for the last time this season when they take the ice tonight live from the Xcel Energy Center in Minnesota.
