Arsenal has completed another trophy-less season, and is now looking for a top-four finish in the Premier League to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Every player that is sold by Arsenal seems to find glory somewhere else, a running joke that has haunted Arsenal since they last won silverware in 2005.

The latest player to join the ever-growing group of ex-gunners to win a trophy is midfielder Alex Song, who was crowned La Liga champion with Barcelona.

The 25-year-old Cameroonian became the 23rd former Arsenal player to win a Major trophy since Arsenal's last first place finish in the 2004-2005 season.

Song has only been away from the Emirates Stadium for 6 months, after officially joining Barcelona in the winter Market, but has already put an end to his dry spell last weekend, along with Barcelona teammate and ex Arsenal Midfielder Cesc Fabergas who won the same prize as Song.

Emmanuel Eboue, another former Gunner, won his second league title in a row with Turkish side Galatasaray following their 4-2 victory over Sivasspor, the total number of major trophies won by ex-Gunners since may 2005 now stands at 56.

Ashley Cole, Patrick Vieria, Thierry Henry, Gilberto Silva, Edu and Sol Campbell, are some of the many big names to leave Arsenal and win a trophy a short time after.

Arsene Wenger and his club have now finished paying off the massive debt of the Emirates Stadium this year and will now be more aggressive in the transfer market, and will be able to make a proper run for the trophy.
