The Los Angeles Lakers are a mess so far this year, but Kobe Bryant still plans to do what he can to help the team improve in the offseason. There has been a lot of speculation this year and in years past that Kevin Love eventually would like to play for the Los Angeles Lakers, and Kobe Bryant plans to help recruit the big man to the team.

Barkley Says People On Social Media Are 'Idiots'

According to media reports, Kobe has every intention of convincing Kevin Love to opt out of his contract after the season and head west to join one of the NBA's most storied franchises. Kobe has played for Los Angeles for his entire career, and he figures to go down as the rare superstar that spent his entire career playing for the same franchise. During his time, the Lakers have won five titles and been to the NBA Finals a total of seven times.

Bryant would like to go back again before the sun sets on his Hall of Fame career, and he knows that the Lakers need to get much better if they want to even make the playoffs, let alone compete for a championship. There are going to be several players that the Lakers may pursue, but Love seems like the most likely candidate to change teams.

One-Legged Fan Tossed From MSG

Love grew up in California and went to college at UCLA, and returning home may be the only force powerful enough to make Love decide to forgo playing basketball alongside LeBron James. The Cavaliers have struggled at times this year, although they are currently on a winning streak, and Love has questioned his usage on the team.

If Love were to join the Lakers, it may open the door for another superstar to join the team the following season. L.A. has a history of attracting superstar free agents, and if they are heading west to join an already competitive team, that desire will only get stronger.
