Nebraska's Bo Pelini was fired as head coach of the Cornhuskers on Friday, following seven years with the team.
Following that news, the Cornhusker players gathered together en masse to give Pelini and hug, and show their respect for a man who's meant so much to them.

Pelini led the team to a 67-27 record in that span. He never had a losing season, never missed a bowl game, and never recorded less than nine wins. Nevertheless, Shawn Eichorst handed Pelini his pink slip; such is the nature of the business.
Pelini was universally liked in Lincoln, but struggled in quote-unquote 'big' games during his tenure. The team was only 8-17 against ranked opponents under Pelini, and never won a Big Ten Championship.
