For many NFL teams the regular season is essentially over. They are assessing young players, giving on-the-fringe players and coaches their final chances, and plotting their course for the future. The NFL draft is a key part of every team's NFL future, and in an interview with NFL.com, UCLA head coach Jim Mora made waves.

While talking with Rich Eisen, Mora said his star quarterback Brett Hundley will "definitely" be entering the draft.

"I'm sure Brett will declare and go play at the next level and I think he's ready to do that. He's done what he can do at UCLA. He's like all quarterbacks he's an unfinished product right now but that's what everybody is going into the league and I think he's going to be a fine NFL quarterback," Mora said.

This season Hundley has completed 70 percent of his passes this season and tossed 21 touchdown passes against only five interceptions. Hundley has also rushed for 548 yards and an additional eight touchdowns.

So who needs a quarterback? These five teams.

New York Jets

The Jets' quarterback situation has devolved into a farce. Geno Smith was re-installed as the signal caller for Monday Night Football, and he wasn't even introduced with the rest of the offense for fear of being booed.

The Jets ran the ball 49 times and threw it only 13; this is not only an indictment of the QB situation at MetLife Stadium, but it is a strategy running counter to the direction of the rest of the NFL. The Jets may be picking high enough to grab someone more highly rated than Hundley, but the UCLA passer would be a fine addition.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans have given up on Jake Locker, and Zach Mettenberger is a late-round flier that Tennessee is probably not pinning their franchise's hopes on entirely. Hundley is already a big prospect, and a good showing at the combine can elevate him. The Titans will have an early pick, and a quarterback is not out of the question.

Washington Redskins

You may be thinking, didn't the 'Skins recently give up a dump truck full of first-round picks to draft Robert Griffin III? Don't worry, you're not crazy. They most certainly did. And he's most certainly been atrocious since winning Rookie of the Year in 2012.

RGIII might be on his way out; if they don't outright cut him they will engage in trade talks with other teams. If so, Hundley seems to be a high-character, likeable, and NFL-ready replacement.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Glennon was promising in 2013 as a rookie, but the Bucs went and signed Josh McCown in the offseason. Then McCown got hurt, Glennon replaced him, and eventually was benched for McCown. The Bucs are 2-10 entering Week 14 so it's safe to say neither Glennon nor McCown is the answer.

The Bucs have major weapons at wide receiver and a wealth of raw talent at tight end with rookie Austin Seferian-Jenkins, so bringing in a young QB to work with those pieces could form a potent offense. Hundley may just be that guy.

St. Louis Rams

The Rams just whooped Oakland 52-0, and are better than their 5-7 record may indicate. They'll likely finish the season at .500 or close, so they may not pick high enough to snag Hundley.

That's why there are trades. The Rams were the beneficiaries of Washington's desire to draft RGIII a few years ago, and now they have solidified most of their team with those picks. Now, it's time to land the QB of the future.
