The Dallas Cowboys got blown out at home in an important division game on Thanksgiving Day, and now they have a potential public distraction at exactly the wrong time. Star running back DeMarco Murray is at the center of a controversy, as he reportedly had an affair with former teammate Brennan Clay's wife at the University of Oklahoma.

Clay, also a running back, arrived on campus in Norman for the 2010 season, which was Murray's final year playing for the Sooners. Over the weekend, Clay tweeted that Murray had been having an affair with his wife, Gina D'Agostini. According to media reports, she deleted her Twitter account shortly after Clay posted his tweets about the affair.

Clay was briefly with the Denver Broncos earlier this season, but he has since been released by the team. He is currently not with an NFL team, although any team is free to sign him if they need running back depth. Below you can see Clay and D'Agostini hanging out with Johnny Manziel.

Murray has not yet commented on the story. He is coming off of his lowest rushing yardage total of the season, as Dallas fell behind the Eagles early and had to abandon the running attack later in the contest. The Cowboys eventually lost the game 33-10. The two teams will meet again in Week 15 in Philadelphia.
