Andy Murray has committed to two women for the foreseeable future. Whether that helps him regain his place on tennis' Mount Olympus remains to be seen.

Weeks after announcing the retention of Amelie Mauresmo as coach, Murray recently announced that he will marry fiancée Kim Sears next year, according to dailymail.co.uk. The two have been together for nine years.

Epic loss to Roger Federer causes Andy Murray to rethink strategy, except for coach

"We have a plan to get married next year, that's the plan but no dates were set yet," Murray told reporters in Manila on Sunday, where he is taking part in the new International Premier Tennis League team tournament.

Murray is changing a few things in his life, both on and off the court. After pairing with Mauresmo in the summer following the departure of coach Ivan Lendl in March, Murray also announced that he has split from longtime assistant coach Dani Vallverdu and trainer Jez Green, tennis.com reported.

Andy Murray a bigger threat to Novak Djokovic than Roger Federer?

Murray, however, was not discouraged by his 6-0, 6-1 loss to Roger Federer in the round-robin portion of the ATP World Tour Finals to make a change from Mauresmo.

The 27-year-old Murray told reporters that Mauresmo wants him to be more assertive during his matches. That strategy is similar to the one Lendl wanted Murray to employ, tennis.com reported.

"That's the sort of mindset and style that I want to play," he told the media during his appearance in the International Tennis Premier League (ITPL).

"Sometimes this year it hasn't been possible, but you know, we've only spent six or seven weeks together since Wimbledon."

Murray won the 2012 U.S. Open and 2013 Wimbledon, climbing to No. 2 in the ranking. But he was slow to recover from back surgery later in 2013 and had to rally to climb to No. 6 late in 2014 to qualify for the season-ending ATP event.

"It wasn't my best season but it got better as the year went on," he said. "Yes, there was a few periods of the year where I played a couple of bad matches, where my level dropped and I wasn't expecting it."

Perhaps, he believes that his partnership with Mauresmo and his marriage next year will help his play on the court get better as 2015 goes on as well.
