Tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos (8-3) will look to keep the Kansas City Chiefs (7-4) off their heels in the AFC West when they square off for Sunday Night Football in Arrowhead Stadium. The Denver Broncos have been less dominant than usual in their past two contests, which they've split, largely because of a running game that has run hot and cold. This week they face a Kansas City Chiefs squad that has been vulnerable on the ground, which they proved last week by surrendering 114 yards and two touchdowns to Raiders rusher Latavius Murray, who only had four carries.

If the running game fails, Manning should be able to make up for it. Broncos center Will Montgomery said balance is vital to them reaching their ultimate goal though. "Obviously, we would rather be running it than passing it, but we have a guy that can pass it pretty good," Montgomery said.

"So, to be effective in the long run we need to do both, and we can do both."

The Chiefs are sure to be motivated by the spanking Oakland gave them on the ground last week, as well as by the scary news their Pro Bowl safety Eric Berry received. "I understand that right now I have to concentrate on a new opponent," Berry said after doctors discovered a mass in his chest that may be lymphoma.

"I have great confidence in the doctors and the plan they are going to put in place for me to win this fight. I believe that I am in God's hands and I have great peace in that."
