The college football season is headed down to the wire, and there are some fantastic games in Saturday's Week 14 slate. Shake off the tryptophan hangover and get to a TV, because we have a host of exciting in-state rivalry games to savor.

The Best & Worst of the College Gridiron Season

As expected, everybody's thoughts will be looking towards the inaugural college football playoff.

Here are three must-see games for Week 14.

Florida at Florida State
If I’m sounding like a broken record on FSU, that’s because I probably am. The Seminoles have as much talent as any team in the country, but they continue to play down to the level of their subpar competition.

They’ve escaped through 13 weeks with an unblemished record thus far, but the chinks in the armor – most especially their slow first half starts – are ever present. FSU needed two late misses by an opposing field goal kicker just to get by a lowly Boston College team last week. Meanwhile, the Gators are playing their final game for soon-to-be-fired coach Will Muschamp. Although his tenure is ending in disappointment, he’s extremely well liked by his players. I expect the Gators to come out fired up for their coach and pull off the potential upset that’s loomed over the Noles’ shoulders all season.
Prediction: Florida 30, Florida State 27

Florida Gators Head Coach Expected By Christmas?

Mississippi State at Ole Miss
The Running Rebels’ inexcusable loss to Arkansas last weekend dampened the vibes of what couldn’t been one of the best match-ups of the entire year. Now they have next-to-zero shot of competing for the fourth spot in the college football playoff system. Meanwhile, Mississippi State is thoroughly in that hunt and has everything to lose by coming out flat. Even on the road, Dan Mullen’s crew will be a formidable presence. I predict Dak Prescott will have a sublime performance in the pocket, as he makes one last bid for the Heisman Trophy.
Prediction: Mississippi State 35, Ole Miss 17

Auburn at Alabama
It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year since Auburn hosted Bama and returned a missed field goal 100+ yards for the game winning score at the buzzer. It was one of the most unforgettable plays in college football history, and earned the Tigers a spot in the BCS title game. Unfortunately, I don’t expect Auburn to conjour up any of the same magic this year in Tuscaloosa. Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide are too deep, too talented, and too hungry to lose their no. 1 ranking on the final day of the regular season.
Prediction: Alabama 24, Auburn 13
