So far, Chip Kelly has been everything that was promised when he took over the Philadelphia Eagles head coaching job. The offense has been potent despite not always having the ideal pieces to fit the system, and other teams frequently find themselves at a loss when trying to slow the Eagles down, both in terms of points scored and tempo.

McCoy Ready For Dallas

Philadlephia's NFC East foes obviously spend plenty of time trying to figure out how to stop the Eagles, and they even resorted to a new tactic this offseason. Former Oregon Ducks defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti spoke on Monday about how every NFC East team reached out to him about joining their organization as a consultant to help advise them how to slow down Kelly's offense.

Aliotti has retired from coaching, and he said he declined the offers from the other teams.

"I've been asked by everybody in the NFC East..." said Aliotti. "The Giants asked me to come back when Chip first got the job. I didn't feel right doing that. Some teams have called when they're getting ready to play the Eagles and they call and have certain questions on the thing. Unless I know the guy and he's a good friend, I don't get involved with that."

Cowboys Working Harder

Aliotti mentioned that he has talked schemes with other friends involved in coach, but he says he has not given anyone specific help on how to slow down Kelly's high-octane attack. You can hardly blame the other teams for trying, though. The Eagles are currently tied atop the division with the Dallas Cowboys, and the 8-3 squads will face each other on Thanksgiving Day in Dallas.
