Adrian Peterson is currently suspended indefinitely without pay from the NFL following his plea agreement resulting from child abuse allegations. The NFL Players Association is appealing the Peterson ruling and doing what they can to help the Vikings running back get back on the field, but he is staying active on social media in the meantime.
Vikings Coach Thinks Peterson Stays With Team
Peterson voiced his opinion about the Darren Wilson case after the Ferguson, Missouri police officer was not indicted in connection with the shooting death of teenager Michael Brown. Peterson mentioned that he, like Wilson, was not indicted by a grand jury, but that his situation later changed:
The GRAND JURY DECIDED NOT TO INDICT ME TOO! But that changed a week LATER! MAYBE,BUT NOT LIKELY N THIS CASE #PUTyourTrustNGODnotINtheWORLD!

Many people around the country have a strong opinion about the Wilson case, and not all of them appreciated Peterson's comments. The backlash centered around the fact that it seemed like Peterson was using the events in the Wilson case to imply that he had suffered an injustice in his own recent legal proceedings.
NFLPA Appealing Peterson's Suspension
Peterson seemed offended when many people reacted negatively to his tweet, leading him to post a follow-up:
If you don't like what I have to say, It's simple just don't follow me! Your opinion doesn't apply to me, I know who I am! #You~without~sin — Adrian Peterson (@AdrianPeterson) November 25, 2014
Numerous other athletes have spoken out about the Wilson case, including Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash. However, they spoke about the social and legal issues involved that extended beyond the case, rather than simply looking at the case itself and comparing to their own experiences.
