The Washington Redskins are undoubtedly disappointed in their on-field results for the 2014 football season and now they have more locker rooms issues on top of that.

Much has been written about Robert Griffin III and his relationships with the team and fans all year long. It is no secret that team owner Dan Snyder loves the promising young quarterback and treats him differently than the rest of the players, but that time may be coming to an end.

Dez Bryant Doesn't Think Cowboys Worked Hard Enough

According to media reports, RG3 will no longer be receiving special treatment from the team. Head coach Jay Gruden also reportedly indicated that he will not hesitate to bench Griffin due to poor performance. The team is reportedly starting to question whether he can be the franchise-saving quarterback of the future that they expected when the team traded up to draft him in 2012.

Griffin enjoyed a spectacular rookie season, but he has suffered some injury issues since, and his overall level of play in 2013 and 2014 has not even remotely approached the brilliance that he displayed in his first year.

Josh Gordon Making Season Debut

Many fans thought earlier in the year that the team should turn away from Griffin and give backup Kirk Cousins a shot. Cousins got that chance when Griffin suffered an ankle injury, but he failed to show much promise before eventually suffering an injury of his own.

Washington travels to San Francisco to face a 49ers team that suddenly looks like a real threat in the loaded NFC. The team has reportedly been reviewing the strategies used in 2012 to help Griffin succeed and will try to incorporate some of the same things back into the game plan.
