As the WWE Universe anxiously awaits the news over whether or not Steve "Sting" Borden will wrestle a match in the WWE, the former WCW and TNA icon recently made an appearance on IGN News.

IGN released a video of Sting appearing on its news program to promote new episodes of American Dad airing on TBS and the news that the animated show was given an extension.
"This is Sting for IGN News," the probable future WWE Hall of Famer said in the video. "Less than a month after American Dads' airdate as [a] TBS original series, TBS has ordered a new season of the Seth MacFarlane animated hit."

He continued: "After a ten-season run on FOX, TBS picked up American Dad as an original series with a 15-episode order which premiered in October. Thanks to a solid performance in its timeslot, TBS has now ordered 22 additional episodes. Each week's premiere is currently averaging 3.1 million viewers when combined with its encore on sister network Adult Swim."
Finally, Sting closed out his stint on the news program by talking about TBS' praise for the series' creators.
"TBS, which also includes re-runs of the original 10 seasons in its lineup, praised executive producers Seth MacFarlane, Matt Weitzman and Brian Boyle, noting its commitment to the series," he said. "American Dad airs Mondays at 9 p.m. PT on TBS. For all your TV news, stay tuned to IGN."
Sting, who has never wrestled for the WWE despite many close calls and has recently signed a contract similar to a legends deal with the company, is rumored to compete at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
There have been rumors that Sting will wrestle his first match in the WWE - and likely the last of his career -- at the Show of Shows along with speculation that the former WCW and TNA wrestler will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on the eve of the biggest event of the year.
Sting has long been rumored to face The Undertaker over the years, but that may not happen now that 'Taker lost The Streak last April to current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and was injured during the bout.
Sting has been open about wanting to compete in one more match at WrestleMania 31 and has even said Triple H could be another possible opponent.
While many people know Sting from his work in the ring, he stepped out of the squared circle to deliver the news for IGN this week.
