"Shots were 12-3 [in the first period], but I can't think of any scoring chances," Canucks forward Daniel Sedin said via NHL.com. "You can shoot from outside all you want, but in this league you're not going to score from there. We had a lot of shots, but we had no guys in front of the net and got no rebounds. That's not good enough."

Daniel Sedin and his brother Henrik Sedin have paced the Canucks atop the scoresheet and have combined for two goals and nine assists against the Oilers this season. Henrik has a team-best 17 points off of five goals and 12 assists while Daniel has four tallies and 12 helpers for 16 points.

Nick Bonino has also had a solid campaign to this point, finding the twine seven times and adding seven assists for 14 points.

The Oilers are also coming off of a tough loss to the Coyotes as they fell 2-1 to Arizona on Sunday in a game that saw Taylor Hall score his team-best seventh goal of the year after missing six games with an MCL injury. It was the third straight loss for Edmonton.

"It was a close game for the most part," Hall told NHL.com. "It was just one of those games where we were just a bounce away from being there, but those are the games we have to find a way to win somehow."

Hall is second on the team with 11 points while Jordan Eberle (four goals, nine assists) and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (five markers, eight helpers) lead the Oilers with 13.

In net, Edmonton is likely to turn to Ben Scrivens, who is 4-7-1 with a 2.94 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage thus far this season.

Vancouver is probable to counter with Ryan Miller in between the pipes and the netminder is 11-3-0 with a 2.65 GAA and a .902 save percentage. His 11 victories are tied for second in the NHL.
