The WWE has written Sheamus out of the main event for Sunday's Survivor Series event and it appears as though the "Celtic Warrior" will not be on the show live from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

Upated Plans and Card For Survivor Series on Sunday

Sheamus fell victim to Mark Henry's World's Strongest Slam after The Authority pit the former United States Champion against The Big Show as a storyline way of putting cracks in the foundation of Team Cena.

After Sheamus was hit with Henry's finishing move through a table, he did not appear in the last segment of RAW when Team Cena and Team Authority had their contract signing and subsequent brawl.

It was revealed that Ryback and Erick Rowan officially joined captain John Cena, Dolph Ziggler and The Big Show on Team Cena while Sheamus wasn't part of the segment as he was selling his injuries.

Those five Superstars will go head-to-head with Team Authority, which is captained by Seth Rollins and also consists of Corporate Kane, United States Champion Rusev, new Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper and Henry.

WWE.com provided the following storyline update on Sheamus after RAW:

"WWE.com can confirm that former U.S. Champion Sheamus was taken to a local medical facility in Virginia following his match with Big Show on Raw," the site wrote. "The extent of The Celtic Warrior's injury is undetermined, but it has been confirmed he will not be able to compete at Survivor Series this Sunday."

It's an odd move by the WWE as Sheamus was feuding with Rusev after dropping the U.S. Title to him, and their feud intertwined with a bunch of other feuds happening within the match, including Show vs. Henry and Cena and Ziggler vs. Rollins and Kane.

It's curious because there have been no reports that Sheamus is legitimately hurt, so the WWE writing him out of the main event is an interesting move.

The addition of Rowan adds an interesting element as he was middling around since being set free by Bray Wyatt, but has plenty of history with Harper as past members of The Wyatt Family.

It is unknown why the WWE decided to take Sheamus out of the main event match or if he'll interfere in it at some point, but it was an interesting move to change the team drastically just six nights before the event.

Team Cena vs. Team Authority will close out the Survivor Series live this Sunday night from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, but Sheamus will not be a part of it.
