The Washington Redskins seem to be on the brink of self-destruction. The team exhibited a completely lifeless performance at home Sunday afternoon, losing to the one-win Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-7. The defeat dropped the Skins to 3-7 on the season.

Starting quarterback Robert Griffin III had a miserable day. He tossed two interceptions to go with only one touchdown, and was sacked six times. However, after the game, RG3 had some stark comments for his teammates in that Washington locker room.

"Great quarterbacks, the Peytons, the Aaron Rodgers, those guys don't play well if their guys don't play well. They don't."

"We need everybody. I need every one of those guys in that locker room. And I know they're looking at me saying the same thing. I'll never quit on them. And I need them to do the same."

It's unclear what specifically Griffin meant by suggesting his teammates may have quit on him, but it does not exactly suggest harmony running through the team's roster right now.

Star wide receiver DeSean Jackson also had some interesting comments after the game, via his Instagram account. This morning Jackson posted: "Top of the week!! & this is how I'm feeling!!," leaving a photograph that stated "You can't do epic s**t with basic people."

Is the post related to the team's struggles? Fans across social media certainly thought so. Regardless, the mood looks bleak in Washington. The team's all-but-eliminated from playoff contention, and a few more blowouts down the stretch might push this team over the precipe into full-on chaos mode.
