The chase for the 2016 European Cup will take its next step on Sunday. Two teams attempting to qualify for the tournament will do battle in a match between Azerbaijan and Norway. The contest scheduled for 12 p.m. ET will be held at the Bakcell Arena in Baku and can be live streamed here free.
What They're Saying
Azerbaijan head coach Berti Vogts (via UEFA): "I have been saying for seven years that we have to be physically ready and this certainly was not the case [against Croatia in October]. The players should sacrifice themselves for their country. I prepared good tactics and our training looked good, but the game was not good. The players were passively retreating backwards. All the goals we conceded came from the wings. It was not a tactical problem. With such performances, it does not matter what tactics are used.
Norway midfielder Martin Odegaard (via UEFA): "It was a great feeling playing at home in front of such a large crowd [against Bulgaria], and we got three points. Everything was great. I was nervous when I came on to the pitch, but when you are given a chance like that you just have to try and enjoy it. It's cool to have the record now. It's hard to describe in words everything that has happened to me this year. I just try and enjoy it all.
Tactical Preview
Player to Watch: Norway's Vegard Forren has five goals across multiple competitions for Molde. The 26-year-old defender will look to stymie Azerbaijan's ability to counter.
Azerbaijan's Projected Lineup (4-4-2): K. Agayev, Qarayev, Ramaldanov, Allahverdiyev, Guseynov, А. Abdullayev, R. Aliyev, Nazarov, R. F. Sadygov, Medvedev, Amirguliyev
Norway's Projected Lineup (4-2-3-1): Nyland, Tettey, Nordtveit, King, Johansen, T. Elyounoussi, Elabdellaoui, Skjelbred, Linnes, Daehli, Forren
