Due to Oscar Pistorius, an infamous Czech gangster may have lost use of his personal fitness equipment.

Multiple media outlets reported that Pistorius began using a treadmill and an exercise bike that was designated for "notorious tycoon" Radovan Krejcir - initially without Krejcir's permission.

According to the Daily Mail on Nov. 14, Krejcir "used a false passport to move to South Africa six years ago and has been linked to the unsolved murders of, among others, a luxury car exporter, the owner of a string of strip joints and a known drug dealer."

Krejcir is currently on trial for kidnapping, attempted murder and drug-dealing.

Because he has been only accused of crimes and not convicted, Krejcir has been allowed special privileges while in prison. He requested use of the fitness equipment and received them, the Daily Mail added.

Pistorius left the hospital wing of Kgosi Mampuru prison and was placed in a heavily guarded suite of six cells, where Krejcir and other prisoners under remand are being held.

"My equipment was offered to Mr. Oscar Pistorius, to train on, on his arrival at this facility ... without my knowledge," Krejcir wrote, according to the South African Press Association, as reported by the Telegraph. "I did not object to Mr. Pistorius utilizing my equipment after he arrived at this facility and in fact Mr. Pistorius and I started training together."

It is not known how Pistorius became aware of the equipment or who gave him permission to use the equipment without Krejcir's knowledge.

Krejcir decided to allow Pistorius use of the equipment, and the two started working out together.

Although the reason for the confiscation of the equipment is not yet clear, one suggestion is that it was perhaps because Pistorius - a neighboring inmate - now had access to them. Convicted prisoners are not afforded the same privileges as inmates on remand - such as Krejcir.

"I have been deprived of my training since the 9th of November 2014 as a result of this unfounded and unexplainable change, which I submit has been directed directly at me, in just another form of mental and emotional torture," Krejcir said in the letter, according to Daily Mail.

According to the Telegraph, South Africa's department of correctional services said in a statement that inmates' complaints are handled internally, not through the media.

Krejcir's lawyer said Pistorius is arranging to have his own equipment installed, which supposedly is against the rules.
