Today at 4:05 p.m. ET, the Oakland Raiders (0-9) and San Diego Chargers (5-4) go head-to-head live from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. The game can be live streamed here. Oakland fans can hear all of the action on 95.7 The Game while San Diego fans can do the same on KIOZ 105.3.
Oakland is in search of its first win and comes in off of a 41-17 loss to the Denver Broncos last Sunday. San Diego, meanwhile, is looking to snap a three-match skid after winning four in a row to start the campaign and is coming off of a 37-0 drubbing from the Dolphins in Miami in Week 10.
The Chargers topped the Raiders 31-28 on Oct. 12 and haven't won a game since.
Wide receiver Eddie Royal is hopeful that San Diego's skid will stop this afternoon.
"As a competitor you just hate losing and you know that feeling and you never want to have it again," Royal told ESPN. So that kind of motivates you to come out and work that much harder, study a little bit more film, just so you don't have that feeling again."
Philip Rivers has struggled during the losing streak -- including throwing three interceptions last week -- and he is 197-for-294 (67 percent) this season for 2,351 yards with 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Rivers' best target has been Malcom Floyd, who has 28 receptions for 530 yards and three touchdowns.
Rookie Branden Oliver has paced San Diego on the ground with 371 rushing yards on 98 carries with two touchdowns, but it remains to be seen how much the returning Ryan Mathews (knee) factors into the offense if he does in fact come back.
The win-less Raiders are hoping to bounce back from a rough Week 10 loss that saw them gain just 222 yards on offense.
"They're looking for the gold at the end of the rainbow and it hasn't been there," coach Tony Sparano said, according to ESPN. "We have to stay the course and believe in the things that we're doing and we're getting better as a football team."
Rookie quarterback Derek Carr has struggled as of late and is 206-for-337 (61.1 percent) for 1,903 yards with 13 scores and nine picks.
Carr has found James Jones a lot this season as he leads the team with 463 receiving yards on 47 catches and has found the end zone three times.
Oakland rushed for just 30 yards last week, but Darren McFadden paces the ground game with 372 rushing yards off of 105 carries and two scores.
The Raiders look to win for the first time in 2014 while the Chargers hope to halt a three-game skid when these teams take the field at Qualcomm Stadium this afternoon in San Diego.
