Manti Te'o's Girlfriend Makes Maxim's Hot 100 List

Maxim Magazine has named Manti Teo’s fake, cancer-stricken girlfriend No. 69 on its Hot 100 list for 2013.

The fictional being tops such mainstays as Jessica Shastain, Emma Roberts and Zooey Deschanel on this year’s list. Former Disney star Miley Cyrus garnered the top spot.

In its bio of Te’o’s paramour, the mag waxes:  "After Manti Te'o's fake girlfriend hoax of 2012, we think it might be nice to have an invisible girl of our own to love. Why not? She's got a ton of great qualities, including looking awesome in a bikini."

As proof, the mag offers a photo of an invisible lady draped in a bikini, all against a scenic tropical backdrop. Try as he might, the former Notre Dame star, who was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the most recent NFL Draft, just can’t seem to put the scandal behind him.

Lennay Kekua later revealed himself to be the voice of the person Te’o met online and began dating long-distance until she was overcome by leukemia and died in a car accident. For weeks, the story dominated the media and made Te’o a most sympathetic character for much his senior season.

Besides Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ashley Tisdale, Kate Upton, Vanessa Hudgens and Elisha Cuthbert rounded out the mag’s Top 10.
