Lil Wayne took to the MTV airwaves late Wednesday to assure fans he is “100 percent healthy” following a bout of reported seizures.
Appearing on an episode of the cable network’s “RapFix Live,” Wayne told fans “I’m good, I’m 100 percent," adding that he’s been taking his doctor’s advice and getting enough sleep and eating right after being admitted to the hospital multiple times due to seizures. The most recent episode came just last week; the multi-platinum rapper described his symptoms as feeling like a regular day.
“I went to sleep and woke up in the hospital,” he said. “I felt nothing, I was just hoping it stopped happening."
Insisting he feels no lingering effects, Wayne intently listened as his Cash Money partner in crime Birdman went on to address recent controversies involving Rick Ross’ lyrics on the song “U.O.E.N.O. and his subsequent loss of a Reebok sponsorship.
“I don’t see what he did wrong,” Birdman said of the track in which Ross was heavily criticized for condoning date rape. "That's just life -- you win and you lose. They got more money out there. You just keep bangin' hits… I don't think he meant no harm to nobody, he was just rapping."
