Randy Moss is making what he considers a gracious offer to Peyton Manning.

NFL.com reported that the Fox analyst and retired NFL wide receiver said he would "consider" a return to the league if Manning were to ask him to play for the Broncos.

Raiders just using San Antonio to up the ante with Oakland or Los Angeles?

"I'm gonna tell you this, for me to come out of retirement for a player such as Peyton Manning, I would consider that," Moss said on The Peter Schrager Podcast, as reported by NFL.com. "I really would consider it. I'm still in great shape, I can still run. ... I'm not the most old, but just by looking at the things I see on Sundays, I can still go out there and catch some passes and catch some touchdowns."

Is the 37-year-old Moss saying that the Broncos' receiving corps needs help? Manning already has some of the best weapons in the league in Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, Julius Thomas and Wes Welker - he doesn't seem to need any more help.

Somber Andre Johnson acts apathetic about Houston Texans quarterback change?

Moss also is considered a locker room malcontent. Reports indicated that he wore out his welcome in Minnesota, Oakland and New England.

He has not caught a pass since Super Bowl XLVII, and teams might question his motivation after he turned down an invitation to sign with the Seattle Seahawks after they traded Percy Harvin to the New York Jets, as Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reported, according to NFL.com.

Moss told ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption" that his retirement from the game had nothing to do with football or money.

"There were some things going on in my family life, going on with my children that I had to walk away from the game and be there for them as their father and as their protector," Moss told PTI.

"I'm loving what I'm doing here at Fox, don't get it wrong, but for me to be able to come back to the game for a guy like Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, guys, I might consider something like that."

By the way, Moss had his chance with Brady.
