DC UNITED vs. NEW YORK RED BULLS Live Stream FREE Online: 2014 MLS Cup Playoffs, Live Coverage from Washington D.C., Projected Lineups and TACTICAL PREVIEW

Two clubs in the Eastern Conference of MLS will do battle today in a league match between D.C. United and the New York Red Bulls. The first-division clash scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET will be held at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on NBC Sports.

New York Red Bulls midfielder Eric Alexander (via MLS’s official website): “I think we’ll probably be a little more disciplined defensively than many of the last couple of games. Other than that, I think [our approach will be] pretty normal. I think we’ve been doing a pretty good job keeping other teams from scoring, so I don’t think we’ll need to change too much. Obviously, they’re going to eventually have to throw a couple more guys forward and that’ll be something we work on in training how to deal with. But other than that, I think we’ll just go about our normal routine and just work together.”

D.C. United manager Ben Olsen (via MLS’s official website): "I might make some changes. We might alter some things; we still got to evaluate where everybody’s at [fitness-wise]. The good thing is that we will have a lot of guys available that can help us on the offensive end in a game where we need to score some goals. You don’t need to get those two goals in the first half. This is more of a slow burn.”

Tactical Preview

Player to Watch: One away goal from the Red Bulls would make United’s deficit an insurmountable one, making Peguy Luyindula a pivotal factor. The 35-year-old isn’t projected to feature in a starting role, but can still prove to be effective as a late-game substitute. Luyindula has six goals this season and one assist.

D.C. United’s Projected Lineup (4-4-2): Hamid; Korb, Birnbaum, Boswell, Franklin; Pontius, Arnaud, Kitchen, DeLeon; Espindola, Johnson

New York Red Bulls’ Projected Lineup (4-2-3-1): Robles; Eckersley, Sekagya, Olave, Miller; Alexander, McCarty; Henry, Cahill, Sam; Wright-Phillips
