Deportivo La Coruña manager Víctor Fernández (via Inside Spanish Football): "I know where I am, the scenario, what objective I have been contracted for and what it will cost us all to achieve this season. The president hasn't changed that objective, which is to stay above the bottom three in La Liga because that's very important for the economic health of the club. That's what he's told me and the team captains."
"Honestly, this team isn't capable of being anywhere near the top seven," he added. "The teams amongst the bottom seven are characterised by their inconsistency. What we need is a little bit of stability and consistency for us to be in a better situation. That will be difficult to achieve."
