Simona Halep is a hard woman to please.

Romania-Insider.com reported that she has parted ways with Belgian coach Wim Fissette after just 10 months and despite the fact that he helped her climb from No. 10 to No. 3 in the world.

Caroline Wozniacki replaces Maria Sharapova as Serena Williams' main rival?

In fact, Halep had reached the No. 2 ranking in the world during the summer and held it for eight weeks. She lost to Serena Williams in the WTA Finals in Singapore four days after handing Williams her worst defeat in 16 years.

"My collaboration with Wim Fissette will come to an end, following a mutual agreement," Halep posted on her Facebook page. It was a good and beautiful year. I want to thank him and wish him good luck in the future."

Andy Roddick says Rafael Nadal's 23-10 record over Roger Federer doesn't make him better than Federer

Halep also finished as the French Open runner-up to Maria Sharapova and won titles at Qatar and Bucharest.

As Halep burst into the top 10 this season, she earned notoriety for having had breast-reduction surgery (five years earlier) to help her tennis game. Fissette told the Daily Mail in June that the procedure was "an important part of her career."

The change represents the second in two years for the Romanian star, SI.com reports. In 2013, Halep improved from No. 47 to No. 11 in the world under coach Adrian Marcu and won the WTA's Most Improved Player of the Year award, but soon dropped him for Fissette, who had worked with Kim Clijsters and Sabine Lisicki.

Perhaps, Halep has realized the most of her success has come from her own motivation.

The Romanian-Insider.com added that Digi 24 news station reported former Romanian tennis player Ion Tiriac, who coached former German star Boris Becker, is assisting Halep in finding another coach for the 2015 season.

Fortunately - or unfortunately - for the next coach, Halep can climb only so far from No. 3.
