Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Montreal Canadiens (8-4-1, 17 points) and Buffalo Sabres (3-9-1, seven points) take the ice at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo for the first of four meetings against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. Montreal fans can hear all of the action on TSN 690 while Buffalo fans can do the same on WGR 550.

After a strong start, Montreal enters play amid a three-game losing streak while Buffalo snapped a two-game skid last time out and will look to win two straight matches for the first time this season.

The Canadiens are coming off of a 5-0 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on home ice Tuesday and will be looking to take out their recent frustrations on their opponents tonight.

"Nothing's working for us," Canadiens center Tomas Plekanec told NHL.com after the loss. "I mean, I thought we played hard in the first period, we put pucks to the net. We need to take a step back. We have to stay positive as much as possible and we've got to fight through it. We've got to help ourselves, somehow."

Plekanec is tied with Max Pacioretty for the team lead with nine points as both players have five goals and four assists. Alex Galchenyuk is second on the team with four tallies and has added four helpers for eight points.

Montreal will see some familiar faces in the Sabres lineup as defenseman Josh Gorges and former team captain Brian Gionta prepare to face their old team.

"It's always different the first time you play against your former team," Gorges said. "There are a lot of different emotions that get thrown into it. I talked about this [Tuesday], making sure I focus on doing what we need to do to win."

Points have been at a premium for Buffalo this season as Tyler Ennis (four goals, two assists) and Drew Stafford (one tally, five helpers) are tied for the team lead with six points.

The Sabres are coming off of a 3-2 shootout victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday that saw Ennis pick up an assist on the game-tying goal and notch one of the two shootout tallies in the victory.

In net, Buffalo is set to suit up Michal Neuvirth, who is 2-3-0 with a 2.96 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage thus far this season.

Playing on back-to-back nights, Montreal is projected to go with Dustin Tokarski between the pipes, who is 1-1-0 and has yielded six goals on 66 shots thus far this season.

The Canadiens look to halt a three-game skid while the Sabres hope to notch two straight wins for the first time this season when the lights come up at the First Niagara Center tonight in Buffalo.
