Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET the Miami Heat (4-0) will take their league-best record into a matchup with the Houston Rockets (3-0) of the Western Conference. Live stream the game by clicking this link. The Heat have the best record in the NBA right now behind the strong play of big man Chris Bosh, whose role has increased since the departure of LeBron James. Bosh has scored 25.7 points per game through four tilts, and 11.3 rebounds-last season he averaged 6.3 boards.
"I guess it's just effort," Bosh said. "We know a lot of people aren't expecting us to do much on the boards. That's a little bit of inspiration."
Head coach Erik Spoelstra is mindful of how early in the season it is as well as the perils of relaxing on effort because of the hot start.
"We're three games into this so it could quickly go the other way if guys start to feel comfortable and try to start to do it on their own," Spoelstra said. "And that's not the makeup of this group. That's not at all a referendum on our personnel, it's the power of working together that will make us more successful. The guys see it. They see how our team will have to play to be successful."
Bosh will be matched up with Rockets center Dwight Howard, averaging 15 points and 10.8 rebounds. Howard said he's excited to play against the red-hot Heat.
"We came out tonight and got the job done," Howard said after the Rockets beat the 76ers on Monday. "Defense was solid. Now we have to do that against Miami, who plays great at home. D-Wade, Chris Bosh. They're doing a good job on the offensive end and we have to be able to match that."
