Over 500,000 Borussia Dortmund fans have applied for seats to the Champions League final in Wembley, but only 24,000 seats are available.
German side Borussia Dortmund who eliminated Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid to get to the final, have only been granted 24, 042 seats in Wembley Stadium for the final on May, 25th.
Over half a million fans have applied for tickets to the final clash in London, and less then half will have a chance to see the live action.
"We've followed how much sympathy people have towards us with great excitement," marketing director Carsten Cramer told the club's official website.
"More than 500,000 applications are a clear sign of Echte Liebe [true love, the club's motto] which Borussia Dortmund fans feel towards the club and our authentic and successful team."
The club further has announced that a drawing will be made to decide who will receive a ticket to watch the Champions League final live.
BVB CEO Hans-Hoachim Watzke, meanwhile, apologized for not being able to provide every fan with a place at Wembley.
"We're sorry that we're not nearly able to fulfill the wishes," he told reporters.
"Ten years ago, every club member would have had a chance to secure a ticket."
Dortmund, who are going for their first European trophy since 1997, will face country and derby rivals, Bayern Munich who have not won the Champions League since 2001.
This will be Bayern's third appearance in the final in the last four Champions League tournaments.
