A WWE return for Kurt Angle appears to be off the table as TNA is expected to announce a new deal with the Olympic gold medalist in the near future.

Update On Roman Reigns Return To WWE From Injury

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the announcement that TNA president Dixie Carter has been teasing for the past few weeks doesn't have to do with a new television deal, but rather that the organization has reached a new pact with Angle.

TNA is looking for a new network home for Impact Wrestling as Spike TV is dropping the company's flagship show from its station next year. There were reports that Carter was preparing a major announcement within a week, but it appears it won't be in regard to the television deal.

Daniel Bryan Needs To Undergo Second Surgery

Angle is slated to re-sign with TNA and finish his career despite reports that he was seriously considering a return to the WWE.

Word now is that Angle's talks with the WWE are done and a return for Angle isn't going to happen, so he'll be headed back to TNA.

Angle is also hoping to expand his acting career as he is in Hollywood this week working on auditions.

Angle met with the WWE recently and was reportedly offered a full-time deal to join the company, but he turned it down.

After coming off knee surgery, Angle was looking for a part-time deal. He also wants to focus more on acting. The WWE was seemingly only interested in offering Angle a full-time pact, which was a deal breaker.

The WWE had been skeptical about bringing Angle on due to his past problems, but things may have changed since the organization offered him a full-time pact, which was reportedly the idea of Triple H.

Angle kicked off his professional wrestling career by joining the WWE in 1999, three years after winning an Olympic gold medal in 1996 for amateur wrestling. Angle left the WWE in 2006 and has been with TNA ever since.

Angle, 45, is a four-time WWE Champion and five-time TNA Heavyweight Champion.

It appears as though Angle will be closing out his career with TNA and a WWE farewell tour is off the table.
