Tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET, the Montreal Canadiens (7-1-0, 14 points) and Edmonton Oilers (3-4-1, seven points) take the ice at Rexall Place for the first of two meetings against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. Montreal fans can hear all the action on TSN 690 while Edmonton fans can do the same on CHED 630.

Montreal has had a dominant start to the season and is in search of its fourth straight win while Edmonton has won three consecutive matches since kick off the season with a three-game losing streak.

The Canadiens are coming off of a 3-1 triumph over the New York Rangers on Saturday that closed out a perfect home stand for them, but they're not looking too far into it.

"I don't think we should put too much into it," forward Lars Eller told NHL.com after scoring his first goal of the season against the Rangers. "It's not like we're the best Habs team in 50 years, but we do have a really good feeling within this room."

Tomas Plekanec has paced Montreal with nine points this season off of five goals and four assists while Max Pacioretty and Alex Galchenyuk have each found the back of the net three times and added four helpers for seven points this season.

The Oilers are coming off of a 6-3 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday that gave the team its third straight win, but Edmonton still enters play as the second-to-worst team in the Western Conference as it continues a seven-game home slate.

Taylor Hall has been a spark for the Oilers this season as he enters Monday with a team-best seven points off of four goals and three assists while Jordan Eberle has two tallies and four helpers for six points.

Goaltender Viktor Fasth practiced for the first time since sustaining a groin injury on Oct. 14 and he is happy to be on the road to returning to the lineup.

"It felt good to be on the ice today," Fasth said, according to NHL.com. "I've been skating for a couple of days here and today was the first real action with reacting and stuff but it felt good."

With Fasth still sidelined, it is likely that Ben Scrivens will man the crease for the Oilers tonight. Scrivens is 3-3-0 with a 3.31 goals-against average and a .882 save percentage thus far this season.

The Canadiens are likely to counter with Carey Price, who is 6-1-0 with a 2.67 GAA and .913 save percentage.

In two meetings last season, Montreal and Edmonton split the games with each team notching a win in their opponent's building.

The Canadiens look for their sixth straight victory while the Oilers hope to notch their fourth consecutive win when the lights come up on these teams tonight at Rexall Place in Edmonton.
