Two clubs chasing UEFA Champions League glory will do battle today in a match between AS Monaco and Benfica. The group-stage match scheduled for 2:45 p.m. ET will be held at the Stade Louis II in Monaco and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on Fox Soccer Plus.
AS Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim had this to offer ahead of today's European encounter (via UEFA): "Monaco are not very efficient in front of goal, but we create a lot of chances, so we will try and improve on [our finishing]. I expect Benfica to field a strong team and go for it, but we're at home and will go for the three points ourselves."
"Benfica have not changed much in the last three years," he added. "Even if they lost some players, they managed to keep their coach and important players, so they are a high-level team. But we have a top-quality team too, and I can tell you that our future looks bright."
Tactical Preview
Player to Watch: AS Monaco's Lucas Ocampos has one goal in nine league appearances this season. The 20-year-old, averaging a mere 0.7 key passes per match, must improve his facilitation to execute Jardim's tactical approach.
AS Monaco's Projected Lineup (4-3-3): Subašić; Fabinho, Carvalho, Raggi, Kurzawa; Toulalan, Moutinho, Kondogbia; Ocampos, Berbatov, Ferreira-Carrasco
Benfica's Projected Lineup (4-3-3): Artur; Eliseu, Luisão, Lisandro López, Maxi Pereira; Samaris, Enzo Peréz, Anderson Talisca; Gaitán, Lima, Salvio
