The No. 9 Oregon Ducks followed their lone loss of the season with an impressive beat down of then-No. 18 UCLA, but now they have to avoid the upset against an underrated Washington Huskies squad.

Oregon coach Mark Helfrich raved about the victory over UCLA and said it speaks to the character of the team. He made it clear that the Ducks’ season is not over just yet.

"I think it validates what we think of our team and the character of our team," coach Mark Helfrich said. "Those guys are competitive dudes that care a lot about each other, care a ton about the process, and knowing how they responded last week to adversity, that's huge. That will pay off down the road.”

Washington coach and former Oregon assistant Chris Petersen spoke about the matchup and the rivalry between the schools.

"I know how the rivalry was because when I was at Oregon it was kind of flipped in a lot of ways," said Petersen. "I think there are interesting rivalries in the Pac-12 with all the Northwest schools in a lot of ways.”

Washington leads the all-time series against Oregon 58-43-5, but the Ducks are currently riding a 10-game win streak against the Huskies and hold the most lopsided match in the series at 58-0 in 1973.
