Luis Suarez has been handed a ten-match ban that will keep him away from club action until mid-September. The Uruguayan international chose not to appeal the ban handed it to him by the FA, because he did not want to send out the message that he was trying to defend what he did, but the constant struggles in English football have forced him to look elsewhere. Italy side Juventus have been one of the clubs most interested in the 26-year-old striker.

Juventus boss Antonio Conte says Suarez would be flattered by interest from the Serie A leaders and defending champions.

The Old Lady has been in talks with Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahomovic, who played for Juve years back, leaving his stamp on European football. The striker said he would be honored to be in the eye of such a big club, and Conte believes Suarez should be equally honored.

"If Ibrahimovic says he is honored to see his name linked to Juve, it's a nice compliment made by a great player," Conte told Gazzetta Dello Sport.

Luis Suarez' agent is Pep Guardiola's brother, Pere Guardiola, and this has led to rumors of talks between Suarez and Barcelona, but a move to Italy seems more likely for the South American front man.

"He's probably devalued himself on the market and if he was to go, and I hope that that doesn't happen, Liverpool would want £50million for him. Would they get it now after this? I'm not sure because there's a little bit more baggage with him," says Liverpool legend John Aldridge.
