After winning the Super Bowl last season the Seahawks have seemed a bit more vulnerable in 2014. The Cowboys took it to the Seahawks on the ground last week, with DeMarco Murray chewing up 115 yards on 29 carries. Head coach Pete Carroll said that their play hasn't been up to par, and took responsibility for it.

"We just have to get better," Carroll told the Seahawks' official website. "Players seem to be willing to accept they have to get better, too. So we're working on that, and point the finger at me first."

That might begin with re-establishing running back Marshawn Lynch as the offense's focal point after he received just 10 carries against Dallas last week. Carroll admitted that was something that needs to change quickly as well.

"We don't ever want to play a game when Marshawn carries the ball 10 times," Carroll said. "That's not enough. That's not our format that we're trying to build from."

Meanwhile St. Louis is coming off a Monday Night Football collapse in which they coughed up a 14-point lead to the 49ers. Quarterback Austin Davis had an up-and-down performance, completing 50 percent of 42 passes for 236 yards, one touchdown and one interception. This week he have to produce against Seattle's "Legion of Boom," led by cornerback Richard Sherman.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher is confident that the team is headed in the right direction despite a poor record. "What we're doing here is right," Fisher said. "The players are coming to work. They're having fun, they're working hard. We don't have the production that we'd like. Things will turn."
