Paul George and Daniela Rajic, the mother of his five-month-old daughter Olivia, have come to terms on child support and custody issues after a hearing in Manhattan, New York according to reports.

"I am expecting to take full responsibility and to own up to being the dad," George said. He also responded "I'm extremely excited," when asked about getting an opportunity to hold his five-month-old daughter.

When news broke Rajic was simply known as "Daniela," and rumors swirled that George had offered her $1 million to have an abortion. George strongly denied those rumors through a spokeman. "There is no truth to the rumors that Paul offered money for [Daniela] not to have the child," his representative said.

In a separate statement George said "If and when there is legal confirmation that I am the father, I will fully embrace my responsibilities. This is a personal matter that is still being sorted out, so I hope you can respect my privacy."

According to The Daily News the pair were cool toward one another with George acknowledging that the situation was "awkward." He also said it was "very unfortunate the way things got out of hand," regarding rumors and animosity.

The Daily News reported that Rajic and George barely spoke, despite Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Matthew Cooper lauding their positive interactions. "There was the body language of two people who understood that they will be tied together for a real long long time. They will both be participating in their daughter's life," Cooper said.

George is currently recovering from a severe leg injury sustained this summer in a scrimmage before the 2014 FIBA World Cup. He's expected to miss the entire 2014-15 season.
