Boston notched its second win of the season Wednesday in a 2-1 shootout victory over the Detroit Red Wings while Montreal is coming off of a rough 7-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday.

The Canadiens took three of four from the Bruins in the regular season in 2013-14 and bested them in seven games in Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs en route to the Eastern Conference Final.

The Bruins feel good coming off of a key victory over the Red Wings that snapped a three-game skid.

"I thought we played a real good game tonight," Bruins coach Claude Julien said via ESPN. "It was a tough win, but a win I thought we deserved. It was nice to see us come up with the win, probably the best game so far this year and we did a lot of good things."

The Canadiens are amped up to face one of their fiercest rivals tonight in a rematch of last year's best-of-seven series.

"Obviously when the season starts you're not looking too far down the road, but now that it's here, with what happened last year, I think both teams are going to be really excited for it," Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher told NHL.com. "I think any time Montreal and Boston are playing each other there's a little more to it with the rivalry that comes with it."

Tomas Plekanec is off to a hot start, notching four goals and an assist for five points through four games while Alex Galchenyuk and Andrei Markov have each found the back of the net one and added two helpers for three points.

For Boston, three players are atop the score sheet with three points apiece including Reilly Smith (two goals, one assist), Patrice Bergeron (one tally, two helpers) and Carl Soderberg (three assists).

Tuukka Rask is likely to suit up in net for Boston tonight and he is 2-2-0 with a 2.22 goals-against average and .894 save percentage. With Carey Price struggling Monday, Montreal is likely to counter with Dustin Tokarski, who won in his only appearance this season while stopping 44 of 48 shots.

It's a huge rivalry and a Stanley Cup Playoffs rematch when the Bruins and Canadiens take the ice tonight at Bell Centre in Montreal.
