Floyd Mayweather Jr. has stated many times that the primary reason a fight between he and Manny Pacquiao won't occur is his distaste for Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, Pacquiao's promoter. Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's trainer, doesn't buy it.

"Al Haymon will not fight Manny Pacquiao, guarantee that. Because they're scared, all of them. His lead guy all the way down. It's not going to happen. All of the excuses about they don't like Bob Arum; it's just excuses," Roach said.

He also took another swipe at Haymon, one of boxing's most influential figures and Mayweather's adviser. "Al Haymon, I met him twice, he's a very nice guy but I don't think he's good for boxing."

Haymon recently flexed his might when Jay Z and Roc Nation Sports swooped in with a huge purse bid to promote a WBO middleweight title fight between "Kid Chocolate" Peter Quillin and Matt Korobov. Although that fight would've been the biggest payday of Quillin's career, he backed out and vacated his belt on Haymon's advice.

Amir Khan's name is usually brought up as the most likely candidate to be Mayweather's next opponent, but Mayweather has derided both Khan and Pacquiao's credentials in recent comments.

"He [Khan] still got Danny Garcia problems and there's another guy over in the UK. No, not Kell Brook. Kell Brook is a good, little fighter. I was impressed. I'm talking about another guy that slept Amir Khan," Mayweather told Fighthype.com.

Floyd Mayweather Sr., Floyd Jr.'s trainer, has chimed in on Khan and Pacquiao as well and called both easy matchups.

"He might fight Amir Khan. Honestly, myself, I would like to see Floyd have a couple fights where he ain't fighting all these big, tough fighters. I'm not saying that Floyd's not going to fight the best, because that's all Floyd has fought is the best, but I'm saying right now, since he ain't but a couple fights before he ends his career, I'm just saying that maybe those couple of fights could be easy," Mayweather Sr. said.

"Matter of fact, whether he knows it or not, if he takes Pacquiao, that'll be an easy fight for him. Pacquiao can't whoop no damn Alvarez. Pacquiao can't whoop them big fighters Floyd's fighting; he can't whoop them guys, man. Them guys would beat the s**t out of Pacquiao."
