Canada head coach Benito Floro had this to offer ahead of today's international encounter (via Sportsnet): "We called up Olympic [under-23] players because we need to form a new base according to our system of play in the first team, and besides if we need during the game three or four of them, we are going to put the players on the pitch because they are capable enough to know the attacking and defensive moves. But we are focusing in the first lineup, the first team, because we need to maintain our level of rhythm."

Veteran Tosaint Ricketts had this to offer about today's opposition: "I think it's a great test for the guys, and we just need to really apply what we're being taught, and apply our tactics and really just focus on our personal games and basically go out there and stick to what we know and what we're taught, and then the rest comes out in the result."
